Electoral roll records are held in a centralised national database accessed online and updated in real-time by Registrars of Electors and their staff who can add, delete or amend voter registrations. An online service to update a voter?s registration details can be accessed by registered electors who have signed up to use this service and who have a government authorised login.
It is planned to introduce a full online voter registration service in June 2014 for voters who have a government verified identity and authorised login.
