If the EMB uses technology to collect voter registration data, is biometric data captured and used during registration?

Prior to the 2011 elections, the ECZ conducted an update of the 2005 voter register, during which a biometric voter registration system based on thumbprint capture and facial portrait was adopted, which remains the system currently in use.
