Is the biometric data used in voter identification at polling stations?

Article 12 to Article 22 of law Number 03/2010/OL of 18/06/2010, Organic Law Repealing the Organic Law n?17/2003 of 07/7/2003 governing presidential and legislative elections as amended and complemented clearly states the role of NEC and the process of registering voters in Rwanda, confirmation of voters register and logging of complains related to voter registration.

The Voter register is compiled from theNational ID card database and then updated through a process of publicverification. Equally, the photos from the National ID database are incorporatedin the final voter register used in the polling stations on the Election Day.
