Voters IDs were checked against the electronic voters’ register. Where the voter did not appear on the electronic register, a hard copy of the voters’ register was used.

Voter Verification Devices(VVDs) are used at polling stations. These have a full database of all votersin the country.
By law, voters may vote at any polling station during Presidential and NationalAssembly elections, but must vote in their registered constituency for RegionalCouncil and Local Authority elections.
