Is technology used for identifying voters at polling stations (electronic poll books)?

Technology is not used for identifying voters at a polling stations, the elections act Chapter 68A, 3(1) part 2(a)details clearly that a voter must go to vote in person, doing so s/he must have an identity card, (b) the officer confirms the person’s name on the register, calls out the number and particulars of the voter as stated in the copy of the register in the polling station, then a stamp ballot paper with an official mark is delivered to the person.
