The Supreme Electoral Tribunal developed an application for touchscreens which allows polling officers to monitor the eligibility of voters and confirm that their votes are cast. Documentary proof is printed and placed in the ballot box to allow for a recount if necessary. Pilot tests with public service cooperatives have shown that further training and education on the use of such technology is needed.
