If e-voting is NOT currently being used, what is the current status of e-voting in general?

In May 2013, supreme election commission in Kuwait reviewed various electronic mechanisms for direct and indirect electronic voting. In this regard, the election committee met with representatives from international companies to present feasible scenarios after applying electronic voting in Kuwait. These efforts come as part of national strategy to apply latest technology in public administration in Kuwait including using biometric registration in future ID documents. Several polls showed that the majority in Kuwait prefer e-voting using voting machines in polling centers over electronic voting.
