In all elections nationwide, considering the manifest public interest in the rapid diffusion and knowledge of the election results, the Electoral Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs plans, organizes and coordinates the respective provisional count. This is done by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on an ad hoc basis in order to communicate the results. Yet, the electoral legislation of Portugal does not contemplate electronic tabulation systems in any law.
