The Presidential elections were held on 28th November in line with constitutional requirements. The presidential results were announced on December 9 by CENI after final tallying. A supreme court petition against the result was annulled and the final certified election results obtained on December 16th. 

The legislative elections were held on 28th November and the results released on February 2nd with no court petitions allowed against the results by the incumbent government despite rigging allegations.
