Executive Regulations for Elections NEC's Decision No. (2/2/2011) Regarding Executive Regulations for Elections

 

Article (59):

“Each candidate shall have the right to appeal against the results of the voting and sorting of ballots by using the form approved by the emirate election committee as per the following conditions:

The appeal should be submitted within 48 hours from the announcement of the preliminary sorting results in the emirate.

The appeal should be related to the voting and sorting procedures.”

Note: there is no legal obligation for EMB on how long it should take to review appeals. In the past election it EMB only three days to announce certified results.
