There was no use of open source systems by EMB in previous Kuwaiti elections (mainly 2013 election).The EMB in Kuwait and other relevant authorities prefer to use proprietary systems in the coming elections. This, due to the success of United Arab of Emirates in applying e-voting using proprietary systems which has influenced all the Arab Gulf countries.
