What types of open source systems have been considered or used?

This information was given by Director-General, Ministry of Internal Affairs / Directorate-General of Internal Affairs, as the use of open source systems is being introduced and there is no mention in the legislation.

The use of open source systems have been considered by the appropiate electoral authorities of Portugal as a possible instrument to support the process of tabulation of the provisional results. Thereby, open source software for tabulation, tailored for the Portuguese electoral system, has been the type of system considered.
