Article 45
Announcement of the Names of Candidates and Lists of Candidates

With not less than 30 days prior to the election, the Central Electoral Commission shall announce on its website the lists of candidates of parties and coalitions which participate in the election, election numbers assigned to the lists of candidates by drawing lots, election numbers assigned to the candidates on the above-mentioned lists as well as the candidates nominated in single-member constituencies. The Central Electoral Commission shall hand over to the representative for elections the certificates of candidates for Seimas member with the election numbers assigned to the candidates. At the moment of its assignment the candidate’s election number coincides with the candidate’s successive number on the list of nominated candidates (joint list). The election number assigned to a candidate cannot not be changed until the proclamation of the final election results.

Registration of Candidates for President of the Republic

38.5 Individuals who have been nominated or who have nominated themselves to be candidates for President of the Republic shall acquire the status of a candidate for President of the Republic upon their registration as candidates for President of the Republic with the Central Electoral Commission, and the publication of a list of the individuals registered as candidates for President of the Republic on its website.
