“The forthcoming election will be conducted under arevised legal framework, including the Law on Election of the President ofMongolia (presidential election law – PEL) that was promulgated on 21 December2012. The amendments provide further details on a number of areas, specificallywith regard to out-of-country voting, the use of new voting technologies (NVT),procedural aspects of voting, counting, and tabulation, as well as sanctionsfor possible election related violations.”
