Lao People’s Democratic Republic: Constitution (1991)

There is no electoral law available on the election of National Assembly members in 1992. Thus, elections in 1992 were held in all seats of the new Parliament provided for in the 1991 Constitution. Elections are conducted through a plurality system in 18 multi-member constituencies of varying sizes (average size: 5.5) where each voter has as many votes as seats are to be distributed in the constituency.
