22. Ata contested election for members of the Parliament each elector may vote for asmany candidates as there are vacancies to be filled unless there are morevacancies than ten, in which case each elector may vote for not more than tencandidates.

45.(1)In a contested election, when the result of the poll has been ascertained thereturning officer shall forthwith declare to be elected the candidates for whomthe majority of votes have been given, and shall as soon as possible publish inthe Gazette, the name or names of the candidate or candidates elected and the totalnumber of votes given for each candidate, whether elected or not.
