Electoral system for the president

Article 6A

6A.1 The President and Vice President shall be elected as a pair directly by the people.

6A.3 The Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidate pair which polls a vote of more than fifty percent of the total number of votes during the general election and in addition polls at least twenty percent of the votes in more than half of the total number of provinces in Indonesia shall be declared elected as the President and Vice-President.

6A.4 In the event that no Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate pair is elected, the people shall directly choose between the two candidate pairs that received the most number of votes in the general elections, and the pair that receives the highest number of votes shall be appointed President and Vice President."
