Legislative size (directly elected)

An Act to amend theConstitution of Zambia.

Article 68.

(1) A Member ofParliament shall be elected in accordance with Article 47 (2) and this Article.

(2) The NationalAssembly shall consist of—

(a) one hundred andfifty-six members directly elected on the basis of a simple majority vote underthe first-pastthe-post system;

(b) not more thaneight nominated members;

(c) theVice-President;

(d) the Speaker; and

(e) the First andSecond Deputy Speakers
