Art 24 - Constitution of House of Representatives: The House of Representatives shall be composed of members directly chosen by the people of the Commonwealth, and thenumber of such members shall be, as nearly as practicable, twice the number of the senators. The number of members chosen in the several States shall be in proportion to the respective numbers of their people, and shall, until the Parliament otherwise provides, be determined, whenever necessary, in the following manner: (i) a quota shall be ascertained by dividing the number of thepeople of the Commonwealth, as shown by the latest statistics of the Commonwealth, by twice the number of the senators; (ii) the number of members to be chosen in each State shall be determined by dividing the number of the people of the State, as shown by the latest statistics of the Commonwealth, by the quota; and if on such division there is a remainder greater than one-half of the quota, one more member shall be chosen in the State. But notwithstanding anything in this section, five members at least shall be chosen in each Original State. 
 
s 48: Determination of number of members of House of Representatives to be chosen in States and Territories(1) Subject to subsection (2G), the Electoral Commissioner shall, as soon as possible after he or she has ascertained, in accordance with section 46, the numbers of the people of the Commonwealth and of the several States and Territories:(a) determine, in accordance with subsection (2), the number of members of the House of Representatives to be chosen in the several States at a general election; and (b) determine, in accordance with subsections (2A), (2B), (2C) and (2F), the number of members (if any) of the House of Representatives to be chosen in the several Territories at a general election.(2) The number of members of the House of Representatives to be chosen in the several States at a general election shall, subject to the Constitution, be determined by the Electoral Commissioner in the following manner:(a) a quota shall be ascertained by dividing the number of people of the Commonwealth, as ascertained in accordance with section 46, by twice the number of the senators for the States; (b) the number of members to be chosen in each State shall be determined by dividing the number of people of the State, as ascertained in accordance with section 46, by the quota and, if on such division there is a remainder greater than one-half of the quota, one more member shall be chosen in the State. 
 
s 50: Number of members of House of Representatives to be chosen in States and TerritoriesThe number of members of the House of Representatives to be chosen in each State and Territory at a general election shall be in accordance with the last determination made under subsection 48(1) before that general election.
Comment

According to Australian Electoral Commission, there were 150 members in the House of Representatives after the 2013 General Elections. However, the Constitution and the electoral legislation allows for a variable computation of the number of members in the House of Representatives (see sources).
