Number of seats by constituencies

The total number of seats corresponding to all of the electoral constituencies provided for in the preceding Article is two hundred and twenty-three which in turn constitutes the total number of Deputies who make up the National Assembly. These seats are distributed among the constituencies as follows:

  1. Each provincial electoral constituency shall elect five Deputies;
  2. The national electoral constituency shall elect one hundred and thirty Deputies;
  3. The external electoral constituency shall elect a total of three Deputies which total shall correspond to two Deputies for the Africa zone and one for the rest of the world.
Comment

Angola elects the 130 members of its National Assembly based on a closed, party-list proportional representation system. Additionally, five members of the National Assembly will be elected per province.
