Para efeito das eleições dos deputados ao parlamento, o território eleitoral divide-se em 29 círculos eleitorais, dos quais 27 no território nacional e 2 no exterior.
100 members of Parliament are elected across 27 multi member constituencies with varying sizes. 2 members representing diasporic communities are elected by plurality systems in two single member constituencies.
However, for the 2008 elections, despite the existence of legal provisions, the Diaspora was disenfranchised since no preparations were made for out-of country registration and voting. Thus, no direct elections took place for the two single member constituencies.
