Article 19. Number of Seats for Wolesi JirgaThe Wolesi Jirga shall have 249 seats. Of the allocated seats, 10 seats are reserved for nomads, and 239 seats are allocated for the provinces in proportion to population. On average, out of the total number of seats in each province at least two female members shall be elected to the Wolesi Jirga.
