(1) The National Assembly is composed of fifty members elected directly by universal suffrage and secret ballot in accordance with the provisions prescribed by the electoral law.
Article 56 [Prime Minister]:
The Amir, after the traditional consultations, appoints the Prime Minister and relieves him of office. The Amir also appoints Ministers and relieves them of office upon the recommendation of the Prime Minister.
1.        Ministers are appointed from amongst the members of the National Assembly and from others.
2.        The number of Ministers in all shall not exceed one-third of the number of the members of the National Assembly.
