20. Is there a limit on the amount a candidate can contribute to their own election campaign?

Candidate's self-funding is not capped. However, the amount of self funding cannot exceede the campaign spending limits set for the specific constituency where the candidate runs for election, and the reimbursement ceiling that applies for electoral campaigns. The only limitations that exist are the campaign spending limit applicable in a given constituency and the reimbursement ceiling, since reimbursement can cover up the 47.5% of the spending limit.
