67. Are there provisions for conflict of interests for candidates and/or elected officials?

Article 7 'Incompatibilities - 1 - The members of the Entity can not be holders of organs of sovereignty, of the Autonomous Regions or of the local power. 2 - The members of the Entity may not exercise any functions in the organs of parties, political associations or foundations connected with them, nor develop political party activities of a public nature. 3 - During the period of performance of the position is suspended the status of membership in political parties or associations. 4. The members of the Entity may not exercise any office or hold shares in the audit firms or any others that provide support to that Entity or to the Constitutional Court in the context of the audit of the accounts of political parties and of the electoral campaigns. 5 - The members of the Entity may not exercise any functions or hold shares in companies that directly or indirectly provide specific means of propaganda to the parties or in electoral campaigns. 6 - The members of the Entity are required to present a statement of assets and income to the Constitutional Court, under the terms of the applicable legislation.' Source  Decree of the Assembly of the Republic No. 194 / XIII: Political Funding -Alteration to the Law approved Friday, March 9, 2018
