67. Are there provisions for conflict of interests for candidates and/or elected officials?

"Incompatible with the mandate of a Deputy are roles of a Company director, chairman of the Board of Directors, director Delegate, General Director, Deputy Director or Manager, exercised in:

1) companies or establishments, benefiting from advantages provided by the State or by a public authority such as a guarantee of interest, subsidies, or equivalent benefits, with the exception of benefits arising from an automatic application of the general legislation or regulations;

2) companies having exclusively a financial purpose and engaging publicly in savings and credit;

3) companies and enterprises whose activity consists mainly of execution of public works, provision of supplies or services for the State, a decentralised commune or an establishment in which a majority share of the capital is held by companies with similar activities."
