68. Are elected officials required to submit reports regarding their finances?

The requirement is indirect: Sections 313-1 of the Penal Code state that whoever, being an employee of the public or private sector, personally or through a third party or under any name whatsoever, has vested interests in an enterprise or a sector placed under his direct supervision or that relates to him, that may compromise or restrict his independence, but fails to inform his superiors, shall be punished.
