'In France, there are no rules with regard to the use/abuse of administrative/state resources. However, Article L. 52-8 of the Electoral Code prohibits every kind of help or advantages coming from legal entities. This means that an incumbent using financial means or in-kind advantages linked to/from the elected body he/she belongs to could see his campaign account rejected by the National Commission for Campaign Accounts and Political Finances'
