Article 259
(1) Bawaslu’s decisionconcerning the solution of Election disputes is a final and binding decision,excluding the decisions on Election disputes related to the verification of ElectionContesting Political Parties and the final list of candidates for members ofDPR, DPD, Provincial DPRD and Regency/Municipal DPRD.
(2) Election disputes relatedto the verification of Election Contesting Political Parties and the final listof candidates for members of DPR, DPD and Provincial DPRD and Regency/MunicipalDPRD shall be firstly settled by Bawaslu.
(3) In the event that Electiondisputes related to the verification of Election Contesting Political Partiesand the final list of candidates for members of DPR, DPD and Provincial DPRDand Regency/Municipal DPRD as referred to in paragraph (1) cannot be settled,the parties whose interests are disadvantaged by KPU decisions can lodge awritten claim to the appellate state administrative court.
(4) Bawaslu is obliged tomaintain transparency and accountability throughout the entire decision makingprocess.
(5) Further provisionsconcerning the procedure for solving Election disputes shall be governed inBawaslu regulations.
