Nomination and Declaration ofHluttaw Candidates, and Appointment of

Election Agent

25.          Atthe time of scrutiny by the Nay Pyi Taw Sub-commission, Self-AdministeredDivision Sub-commission, Self-Administered Zone Sub-commission or DistrictSub-commission under Section 24:

(a)           theperson concerned having filed a nomination for the Hluttaw candidature shallhave the right to produce supporting evidence as desired by him;

(b)           anychallenging candidate of the constituency in which the said candidate willstand for election may, after producing sufficient evidence, object in theprescribed manner that the person concerned who has filed his nomination forthe Hluttaw candidature is not eligible or qualified for the election.

26.          TheNay Pyi Taw Sub-commission, Self-Administered Division Sub-commission,Self-Administered Zone Sub-commission or District Sub-commission may, afterscrutiny as prescribed under Section 24, pass any of the following orders:

(a)           declaringthat the person who has filed his nomination for the relevant Hluttawcandidature is eligible to be elected as a Hluttaw candidate if he conforms tothe stipulations;

(b)           declaringthat the person who has filed his nomination for the relevant Hluttawcandidature is not eligible to be elected as a Hluttaw candidate if he does notconform to the stipulations.
