Part I

Provisionsas to Time

 

The making of objections to nomination papers.

 

In the case of a general election or a by-election, during thehours allowed for delivery of nomination papers on the last day for theirdelivery and the hour following; but—

 

(a) no objection may be made in the afternoon of that last dayexcept to a nomination paper delivered within 24 hours of the last time for itsdelivery, and in the case of a nomination paper so delivered no objection maybe so made to the sufficiency or nature of the particulars of the candidateunless made at or immediately after the time of the delivery of the nominationpaper; and

 

(b) the foregoing provisions do not apply to objections made inpursuance of rule 15(2).

Art. 122

 

(1) Subject to the provisions ofthis section, a parliamentary election petition shall be presented within 21days after presentation the return has been made to the Clerk of the Crown, orto the Clerk of the Crown for Northern Ireland, as the case may be, of themember to whose election the petition relates.

 

(2) If the petition questions theelection or return upon an allegation of corrupt practices and specificallyalleges a payment of money or other reward to have been made by the member oron his account or with his privity since the time of that return in pursuanceor in furtherance of the alleged corrupt practice, it may be presented within28 days after the date of the payment
