Electoral Commission Act 1996, 16(2) and (3) Any party which is aggrieved by a decision of the chief electoral officer to register or not to register a party, may within 30 days after the party has been notified of the decision, appeal against the decision to the Commission in the prescribed manner.(3) The Commission shall in the case of such an appeal enquire into or consider the matter and may, subject to subsection (4), confirm or set aside the decision of the chief electoral officer.http://www.elections.org.za/content/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=989Electoral Act 1998, 3030 Objections to lists of candidates(1) Any person, including the chief electoral officer, may object to the nomination of a candidate on the following grounds:(a) The candidate is not qualified to stand in the election;(b) there is no prescribed acceptance of nomination signed by the candidate; or(c) there is no prescribed undertaking, signed by the candidate, that the candidate is bound by the Code.(2) The objection must be made to the Commission in the prescribed manner by not later than the relevant date stated in the election timetable, and must be served on the registered party that nominated the candidate.http://www.elections.org.za/content/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=989
