Objections to nomination papers
(3) Everyobjection shall be in writing signed by the objector and shall specify theground of objection.
(4) TheReturning Officer may himself lodge an objection on any of the grounds set outin subsection (1).
(5) TheReturning Officer shall, with the least possible delay, decide on the validityof every objection and inform the candidate concerned of his decision, and, ifthe objection is allowed, of the grounds of his decision.
(6) Ifthe Returning Officer disallows any objection, his decision shall be final andconclusive and shall not be called in question in any court; but if he allowsthe objection, his decision shall be subject to reversal on an applicationunder section 90.

Application for avoidance of election on certain grounds
90. The election of a candidate as aMember shall be declared to be void on an application made to an Election Judgeon any of the following grounds which may be proved to the satisfaction of theElection Judge:
(a) that by reason of general bribery, general treating, or generalintimidation, or other misconduct, or other circumstances, whether similar tothose before enumerated or not, the majority of electors were or may have beenprevented from electing the candidate or group of candidates whom theypreferred;
(b) non-compliance with the provisions of this Act relating to elections, ifit appears that the election was not conducted in accordance with theprinciples laid down in those provisions and that the non-compliance affectedthe result of the election;
(c) that a corrupt practice or an illegal practice was committed inconnection with the election by the candidate or with his knowledge or consentor by any agent of the candidate;
(d) that the candidate personally engaged a person as his election agent,or as a canvasser or an agent, knowing that the person had, within 7 years priorto the engagement, been convicted or found guilty of a corrupt practice by aDistrict Court or by the report of an Election Judge;
(e) that the candidate was at the time of his election a persondisqualified for election as a Member.
