29. Provision regardingobjection to the candidates under the Proportional Electoral System:

(1) The Commission shall haveto make necessary scrutiny of the closed list of the candidates received

pursuant to Clause 7 and makeit public.

(2) While publishing theclosed list of candidates pursuant to Sub-Clause (1), a notice must be

published inviting to makeobjection thereto along with an application within seven days,

if any candidate whose name isenlisted in such list does not possess qualification as

referred to in theconstitution and this Ordinance,

(3) The Commission may publishand broadcast the closed list of candidates as well as the

contents publishing a noticeinviting objection thereto pursuant to Sub-Clause (1) and (2)

at the national level media asand when so required.

(4) Any Political Party or anycandidate having his/her name on the closed list, may raise an

objection with evidence to theCommission within the specified time, indicating that the candidate of theclosed list of the candidates is not qualified in accordance with the

Constitution and this Actpursuant to Sub-Clause (1).

(5) When an application ofobjection is received pursuant to Sub-Clause (1), the Commission

may make a necessary scrutinyand if the person of the closed list of candidates is not

found to possess thequalifications as referred to in the Constitution and this Act, the

Commission, shall remove sucha name from the list setting out the same contents.

(6) After the completion ofall the procedures regarding the raising of objection the

Commission shall publish afinal closed list of candidates at its office.

(7) After the completion ofall the procedures regarding the raising of objections the

Commission shall have tocertify the final closed list of candidates and send it to the

concerned Political Party.
