88. (1) There isestablished the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
(4) TheCommission is responsible for conducting or supervising referenda andelections to any elective body or office established by this Constitution, andany other elections as prescribed by an Act of Parliament and, in particular,for—
(e)the settlement of electoral disputes, including disputes
relating toor arising from nominations but excluding
electionpetitions and disputes subsequent to the declaration
of election results;
The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties was established throughan enactment of the political parties Act No. 10 of 2007. The Registrar isresponsible for registration of Political Parties and arbitration of disputes,maintaining records of political parties and administration of the PoliticalParties Fund. Registrar of Political Parties is an office created by thePolitical Parties Act of 2007 [Part II Sections 3 and 4] as an office under theelections management body in Kenya and currently that is the IndependentElectoral and Boundaries Commission.
