Chapter 2 - Presidential Elections

Section 2: Submission of Applications for Candidacy

Article 43

The Authority sets the calendar for applying forcandidacy, and the procedures for the submission, acceptance and adjudicationof applications.

Article 44

Applications for candidacy are to be submitted to theAuthority at its central headquarters by the candidate or his/her designee. Areceipt shall be given in exchange for the application for candidacy.

Article 45

The Authority is to decide on applications forcandidacy by decree of its Board of Commissioners, and established the list ofaccepted candidates within four days from the deadline for submittingapplications for candidacy. The list of accepted candidates is to be posted inthe premises of the Authority and published on its website or via any othermeans.

The Authority is to notify candidates of its decisionswithin 24 hours via any mean with a written record. Decisions of rejectionshall be reasoned.

Section 3: Procedures of Appealing the Decisions ofthe Authority

Article 46

Decisions of the Authority may be appealed bycandidates before the AppellateCircuits of the Administrative Court within 48 hours of the posting ornotification of the decree
