Objections to nomination papers
12.—(1) Objection may be made to a nomination paper only on all or any of thefollowing grounds:
(a) that the description of the candidate isinsufficient to identify the candidate;
(b)that the nomination paper does not complywith or was not delivered in accordance with the provisions of this Act;
(c)that it is apparent from the contents of thenomination paper that the candidate is not qualified to be elected to theoffice of President; or
(d)that the provisions of section 10 have notbeen observed.
(2) Noobjection to a nomination paper shall be allowed unless it is made to theReturning Officer between 11 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. on nomination day.
(3) Everyobjection shall be in writing signed by the objector and shall specify theground of objection.
(4) TheReturning Officer may himself lodge an objection on any of the grounds set outin subsection (1).
