What types of sanctions can be imposed for campaign finance infractions?

57.Whoever is found guilty of violance, threat, undue influence, cheating, takingor giving of bribes to prevent a person from exercising the right of voting andthe right to stand for election shall, on conviction be punishable withimprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or with fine not exceeding onehundred thousand kyats or with both. ' Sec 58 (a) (page 22-23)'Whoever is found guilty of or abetting one of the following acts shall,on conviction, be punishable with imprisonment for a term not exceeding oneyear or with fine not exceeding one hundred thousand kyats or with both: a.Giving and taking bribes by way of money, goods, foodstuff, position or servicetransfer or using any other right in order to obtain the electoral right byunlawful means or as gratitude for obtaining such right;” Sec 61 (b) (page 24)'“Whoever is found guilty of committing one of the following acts insidethe polling booth or within the radius of 500 yards from the polling booth onthe election day shall, on conviction be punishable with imprisonment for a termnot exceeding one year or with fine not exceeding one hundred thousand kyatsorwith both: (b). soliciting a voter to vote or exhorting and inducing him not tovote for a Hluttaw candidate ;”

88.          TheHluttaw candidate whose election has been declared as invalidated as prescribedin Sub-section (b) of Section 74 or Sub-section (b) of Section 75 by theCommission in the official Gazette; the Hluttaw representative or electionagent who has been decided by the Election Tribunal and declared by theCommission for failure to submit the election expenses as prescribed and havingdeclared as a person of distorted qualification; the Hluttaw representative whohas been declared by the Commission as having no right to subsist as a Hluttawcandidate having been punished with imprisonment under any existing law afterbeing elected; having been convicted under one of the offences in Chapter XIIIthe Hluttaw candidate or the Hluttaw representative having no right to subsistas declared by the Commission shall not contest in the election as a Hluttawcandidate from the date of declaration in the existing Hluttaw term and thenext Hluttaw term.
