96. Court proceedingsrelating to election expenses.—The Commission shall direct the ReturningOfficer to launch proceedings in the appropriate court against persons whocontravene the provisions of section 49 or fails to comply with the provisionsof section 50.
100. Disqualification onaccount of certain offences.—3(1) where a person has been 4[convicted forhaving exceeded the limit of election expenses laid down by section 49 orhaving failed to file the return of election expenses in accordance withsection 50 or for any other] offence under this Act, or has been found guiltyof any corrupt or illegal practice by a Tribunal, he shall, if the Commissionermakes an order to that effect, be disqualified, for such period not exceedingfive years as may be specified in the order from being or being elected as, amember of an Assembly.
