Article 6.8

The contestant shall enter into a recognizance forpayment of costs incurred on the appeal in the following amounts:

 (a)  With respect to the election of a Presidentor Vice President, the Liberian dollar equivalent of five thousand UnitedStates dollars (US$5,000.00); [Amended in 2004]

(b)  Withrespect to the election of a Senator, the Liberian dollar equivalent of threethousand United States dollars (US$3,000.00); [Amended in 2004]

(c)  Withrespect to the election of a member of the House of Representatives, theLiberian dollar equivalent of two thousand United States dollars (US$2,000.00);[Amended in 2004]

(d)  Withrespect to any other elective public office, the amount shall be determined bythe Commission and shall not exceed the Liberian dollar equivalent of twohundred United States dollars (US$200.00). [Amended in 2004]
