Chapter (7) : Penalties

                              

Article (36) :    

Without prejudice to a more severe penalty, the personconvicted with committing any of the acts listed below shall be penalized byimprisonment for not more than six months, or a fine not less than five hundredOmani Riyals, or both penalties simultaneously.

 

A. to impersonate in order to be able to vote in theelections

B. to enter by force into voting halls to affect thevoting process or harm any of the officials responsible for the votingadministration.

C. to carry a firearm at the voting stations to seizeor attempt

D. to seize a ballot box before or after sorting.

E. to commit any act that might affect the votingprocess progress.

 

Article (37) :    

All offenses listed in Article (36) of this Chartershall be dropped six months after the date of declaration of the electionsfinal results.
