68. Are elected officials required to submit reports regarding their finances?

"within sixty days of his election to the Knesset;  or Whenever it occurs, in his opinion, a significant change in the content of his statement, as well within sixty days after the end of his tenure as a member, the Knesset member shall submit to the chairman of the Knesset... a declaration which contains the following details: (1) his and his family's capital, assets, rights, liabilities and obligation:s... (2) The sources of income of the member of the Knesset and his family and the sums of income from all other source."

"2. a) Within sixty days from the date of his election to the head of the [local] Authority, the Head of the Authority shall submit to the judge [Retired judge of the Supreme Court or the District Court determined by the President of the Supreme Court], on a form set by the judge, a declaration with the following particulars: (1) The capital, assets, rights, and obligations of the head of the Authority and his family; The statement shall state the value of the assets at the time of their acquisition; (2) Sources of income of the Head of the Authority and his family and income amounts from any other source. (b) The head of an authority shall return and file a declaration as stated in sub-section (a) whenever he considers a significant change in the content of his declaration and within sixty days after the end of his term as head of authority. 2a. The obligation to submit a declaration under the provisions of section 2 shall also apply to the deputy head of an authority."

A Knesset member, as well as the head of a local authority and deputy head of a local authority, are required to submit assets declaration.
