Votes will be counted at the voting center and the tally sheets will be transmitted electronically to a central data center in San Salvador. The tally sheets will then be validated and tabulated so preliminary results can be announced as quickly as possible. The results will also be disseminated by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) through live transmission and the internet, where the preliminary results are posted for public viewing.
