24. Is there a ban on political parties taking loans in relation to election campaigns?

Article 7.1(3), Law on funding of, and control over funding of, political campaigns, as last amended on 28 November 2019 No XIII-2566.

Political campaigns of political parties can be financed by  loans received by a political party from banks registered in the Republic of Lithuania or another European Union Member State or a branch of a bank registered in the European Economic Area and operating in the Republic of Lithuania.
