30. What is the allocation calculation for political parties to receive public funding?

The funds allocated from the State Budget for funding of statutory activities of political parties shall be distributed between the eligible parties by the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption as follows:

1) 10 percent of the total annual amount of funding of the statutory activities of political parties provided for by Article 17² of this Law shall be equally divided between those political parties, which are eligible to such funding in accordance with this Law and, based on the results of the most recent regular or early parliamentary elections, ensured that the number of representatives of the same sex among the elected Members of Parliament who assumed their offices does not exceed two-thirds of the total number of the Members of Parliament who were elected from that party;

2) 100 percent of the total annual amount of funding of the statutory activities of political parties provided for by Article 17² of this Law shall be divided between the political parties which are eligible to such funding in accordance with this Law in proportion to the number of valid votes cast in support of the party lists of such parties in the nationwide multi-member constituency in the parliamentary elections.

The party’s expenses on election campaigning in the parliamentary elections shall be reimbursed in the amount of actual expenses. However, the total amount of reimbursement to any political party shall not exceed the campaign spending limit for political parties whose candidates were registered in the nationwide multi-member constituency provided for by the Parliamentary Election Law.
