18. Is there a limit on the amount a donor can contribute to a candidate?

Article 6.2. The financial contributions made to the candidates by the persons mentioned in paragraph (1) of this article shall be subject to the following limitations:
1. Up to 200,000 Afghanis by a natural person
2. Up to 1,000,000 Afghanis by a legal person

The Election Law does not set a limit on the amount of donations to candidates yet describes "electoral expense limits" for candidates at all elections. A donation threshold was set for presidential candidates in 2019 elections.
