Is technology used for identifying voters at polling stations (electronic poll books)?

Official response from the Elections Department of Singapore (ELD):

"[...] We do not use any electronic device to identify voters at the polling stations. Voters are required to produce their original National Registration Identity Card or valid passport for identification by election officials at the polling stations."
