Comment

For the method of the single-member ballot in the two rounds which concerns the legislative, senatorial and regional elections, the political parties, the political associations and the political groupings are required to present at least 35% of female candidates in accordance with the provisions of article 31, paragraph 4 of the Constitution of March 30, 2016 (Electoral Code, 2019, Art.281).

A minimum quota of 35% of women is required based on their competences, in decision-making bodies of a nature nominative and elective, both in state and private structures. (Article 7 - Parity Law)

The quota system is applicable for a period of ten (10) years from the date of promulgation of this law. (Article 8 - Parity Law)
