What forms of checks are undertaken to verify signatures?

Art. 13. (1) (Supplement - SG No. 19 of 2014, in force from 05.03.2014) The signature shall be submitted to the National Assembly by the initiative committee together with the documents under Art. 11, para. 4 or Art. 12, para. 7 and is entered in the register under Art. 10, para. 3 . The signature is also entered in a structured electronic form, containing the data of the citizens who signed by hand, in the sequence in which they are entered in the signature.

(2) (New - SG No. 100 of 2010, in force from 21.12.2010, amended - SG No. 66 of 2013, in force from 26.07.2013, supplement - SG No. 19 of 2014, in force from 05.03.2014, amended - SG No. 98 of 2014, in force from 28.11.2014, amended - SG No. 56 of 2015, in force from 24.07.2015) The Speaker of the National Assembly immediately sends the signature in structured electronic form to the Main Directorate "Civil Registration and Administrative Services" in the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, which carries out an official check no later than from 45 days from the receipt of the subscription. When the presence of the required number of signatures required under Art. 10, para. 1, item 5 or para. 2 , the inspection shall be suspended and a protocol shall be drawn up, which shall be sent to the Speaker of the National Assembly.
