Additional information about gender quotas

The Liberal Democratic Party (the dominant party in the parliament) set a target for "achieving a 30% female parliamentary ratio in 10 years." (2023). Other parties set similar targets for gender quota as follows: Constitutional Democratic Party 30% by 2030, Democratic Party for the People 35%, Japanese Communist Party 50%, Social Democratic Party 50%.
